About the Role OpenTech Alliance is seeking a Software Engineer III to take ownership of significant applications and outcomes within one of our product engineering teams. You will lead solutions from concept and design through delivery and operation, working closely with Product Management, Quality Engineering, and other stakeholders to solve complex problems and improve the reliability, scalability, and security of our platforms. This is a full-stack role with end-to-end ownership of customer-facing applications — spanning modern web apps, services, APIs, integrations, and data. We value technical judgment and system-level thinking over expertise in any single technology, and we are looking for depth in one or more areas plus sound judgment across the wider system. Key Responsibilities Design, build, test, deploy, and operate complex production software across the stack Own technical outcomes from requirements and architecture through production Partner with Product, QA, Design, and other engineers to shape effective solutions Influence technical direction through system design, code reviews, and clear communication Diagnose complex cross-system issues and drive durable root-cause fixes Improve platform health through automated testing, observability, security, and scalability Mentor other engineers and improve team practices and tools
