Description
We are seeking a SW System Engineer within R&D to support the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of iTero 3D imaging systems and associated software.In this role, you will act as a key contributor at the intersection of clinical needs, product definition, and engineering execution, ensuring that features deliver meaningful clinical value and a high-quality user experience. Key ResponsibilitiesRole OverviewYou will:Translate clinical use cases and user needs into clear design inputs and detailed software requirementsLead end-to-end agile product development—from concept and solution design through implementation, feature evaluation, and continuous improvementPartner with Product, Clinical, UI/UX, Architecture, R&D, and engineering teams to deliver cohesive, end-to-end clinical solutions that meet usability, performance, and workflow expectationsDrive ML-based diagnostic initiatives from PoC through clinical evaluation, implementation, and productizationYou will work across R&D, product, system engineering, and field teams to ensure that clinical insights are effectively embedded into product decisions and feature development.Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Value DefinitionTranslate business initiatives, clinical workflows, user needs, and field insights into design input detailed requirements and feature definitionsEnsure features deliver measurable clinical value and user impactCross-Functional ExecutionProvide technical leadership for cross-functional epics spanning Algorithms, Front-End, Cloud Infrastructure, and third-party integrationsPartner closely with Product, Clinical, UI/UX, Architecture, Algorithms, System Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, and R&D stakeholders throughout the full development lifecycleLead design discussions, story clarification, implementation alignment, feature readiness, and evaluation planning throughout developmentData-Driven Product ImprovementsAnalyze clinical usage data, feedback, and performance metrics to identify improvement opportunitiesSupport data-driven decisions to enhance product performance and user experienceDrive feature evaluation using clinical data, performance indicators, and structured feedback loops to validate product impactContribute to iterative improvement of existing features and workflowsCustomer & Field InsightsInvestigate customer and field issues impacting product usageTranslate real-world feedback into actionable product and feature improvementsSupport root-cause analysis with a focus on product and workflow optimizationSkills, Knowledge & ExpertiseRequired Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering or a related field 12+ years of experience in Clinical Applications, R&D, or System Engineering within medical imaging systems Strong understanding of medical imaging technologies and clinical workflows Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional, collaborative environments, including product, engineering, field teams, and end users Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency with modern digital tools and AI-based solutions for data analysis and productivity Excellent communication skills in both English and HebrewPreferred QualificationsMaster’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related field Hands-on experience with commercial medical imaging systems Exposure to AI-driven imaging solutions or advanced reconstruction techniques Experience working within global, matrixed R&D organizationsJob BenefitsNone
