Overview
Apogee has an exciting new opportunity for a Software Engineer in support of the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center Combatant Command, Command and Control (C2) Division (AFNWC/NCC).
This is a full-time position located at Offutt AFB, NE
Responsibilities
Review, prepare, and analyze a variety of documentation: Planning, requirements, design, support, and test. Also, to include source code, configuration files, and engineering resolution support.
Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code.
Improve operations by conducting systems analysis, recommending changes in policies and procedures.
Deliver Subject Matter Expertise on the nuclear command and control planning process, instructing and evaluating USSTRATCOM directorates.
Provide information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues
Perform Software Quality Assurance (SQA) to ensure that developed software meets and complies with defined or standardized quality specifications.
Work as a member of an agile software development team. Performing some mix of the following tasks as directed by the government team lead or engineering lead.
Elaborate high-level feature/function descriptions into detailed technical designs and tasks, in collaboration with users and government lead engineers.
Perform data validation, verification, and corrections.
Perform coding tasks for functional and performance tests for features/functions.
Perform peer design and code reviews with other team members.
Perform other software engineering and documentation tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Experience:
Citizenship:
Must be a US citizen
Clearance:
Must possess a Top Clearance security clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), Nuclear Command and Control/Extremely Sensitive Information (NC2/ESI), and Alternative or Compensatory Control Measures (ACCM)
Education:
High School Diploma
Years of Experience:
Minimum of 15 years relevant experience to include:
5 years supporting DoD
Agile Development Test and Evaluation (DT&E) and Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E) of NPES and NPES-related software. NPES testing includes scenario database preparation, creation and documentation of test plans and procedures, user story traceability, test tool recommendations, test jigs, data, etc
Provide the Government with an analysis of the operational impact of the system and software engineering proposed changes to NPES and NPES-related systems

3 years supporting the DoD
Demonstrated experience supporting USSTRATCOM weapon systems and/or capabilities
