Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities for this Position
As a
Sr Advanced FPGA/Firmware Engineer
for the Torpedo Systems Group, you will work with engineering teams to develop, deliver, and maintain software and firmware products. Additionally, you will be the government customer onsite and frontline engineering representative as needed and when new products are delivered to help with installation, troubleshooting issues, and assist in corrective actions across several development programs.
Duties and Tasks:
Contribute to design, verification and documentation for FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) developments
Participates in architecture, system simulation and detailed design approach
Defines module interfaces and all aspects of device design and simulation
Evaluates the process flow including but not limited to high level design, synthesis, place and route, timing and power utilization
Verifies test results and analyzes performance
Develops and presents requirements, concepts, designs, decisions and results to internal management, other organizations, teammates and customer
Participates in the improvement of the FPGA organizational processes
Supports the generation of technical engineering products by using the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle
Working in a Linux environment
Writing in C and Multithreaded programming
Working with Real Time Operating Systems
What sets you apart:
Contributes to the development of new theories and methods in FPGA engineering
Expert knowledge of Software Source Control tools and concepts (Git preferred)
Excellent knowledge of other related disciplines
Proven experience with hardware troubleshooting using tools such as DMM, Oscilloscopes, Power Supplies, Function Generators, etc.
Excellent awareness of business objectives and Engineering’s role in achieving
Excellent written and verbal communications skills and ability to establish strong relationships
Provides resolution to problems to a diverse range of complex problems which require the use of ingenuity and creativity
This position is on-site in either Middletown RI or Canonsburg PA.

Salary Note
This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
Combined Salary Range
USD $155,000.00 - USD $165,000.00 /Yr.
