Description
Everforth ECS is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to work onsite five days a week at Ft. Meade, MD.
Everforth ECS is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to work as a member of a team managing and maintaining multiple coalition Mission Partner network enclaves in support of the DoW community. The Senior Cloud Engineer will work with a team to design, implement, and maintain enclaves' virtual infrastructure in both AWS and Azure Cloud as well as on premises deployments. The Senior Cloud Engineer position is a demanding, high-energy role that requires innovative solutions to network, hardware, and software problems. The ideal candidate has exceptional problem-solving skills and a breadth of expertise in cloud networking concepts, modern CI/CD pipeline, platform automation, and infrastructure development supporting these technologies.
Responsibilities:
Integrate, collaborate, and support a team of subject matter experts in a highly agile environment, to implement best-in-class, multi-cloud solutions.
Leverage a variety of automation, instance, and/or container, orchestration, security, and native/non-native cloud services for large DoW program(s).
Architect, design, implement, and maintain cloud solutions and new capabilities in AWS/Azure.
Assist in partner network integration, testing, and monitoring.
Other duties as assigned.
Salary Range: $170,000-210,000

Active Secret security clearance, with the ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) discipline, and at least 10-12 years of related professional experience.
DoD 8140 compliant with active minimum IAT Level II Security+ (or higher).
Ability to travel CONUS / OCONUS up to 20% of the time, as needed.
5-7 years of experience designing, engineering, and deploying infrastructure systems and services within cloud environments.
5+ years of experience and proficiency working with Azure Cloud computing technologies across Windows and Linux endpoints, with hands-on experience with the following resources:
Azure Active Directory, Virtual Networking, Virtual Machines, Storage Accounts, etc.
Azure, RSV, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics Workspaces, etc.
Proficiency:
Developing, engineering, and deploying Microsoft Active Directory and DNS.
Supporting Windows and Linux Server/Desktop endpoints.
With Cloud networking and troubleshooting Cloud networking environments (IP networking, VPNs, DNS, and load balancing).
A solid understanding of firewalls, NAT, SSL/TLS, etc.
Experience:
One or more automation languages (PowerShell, ARM/Bicep Templates, BASH, Python).
STIGing Windows and Linux endpoints and using the STIG Viewer for reporting.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with a proven ability to weigh the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and identify the most appropriate solution.
Highly developed interpersonal and oral/written communication skills, with the ability to effectively and professionally interact with a diverse set of stakeholders (from peers to end-users to executive management).
