Description

About Mogl Data Mogl is where ambitious teams build what's next in data and media. Through Mogl Data, our fast-growing data and technology practice, we help agencies and brands build a modern data stack that unifies all of their data, connecting digital and traditional sources into reliable, scalable systems that power analytics, automation, and smarter decisions. We are scaling quickly and investing in a modern data and AI practice from the ground up. This is a chance to get in early, do work that matters, and grow with us. Why This Role Matters At Mogl Data, data is the product, and quality is what makes it trustworthy. As we scale, we are looking for a sharp, detail-driven analyst to own the quality of the data behind every client dashboard and decision. You will be the person who makes sure what we deliver is accurate, reliable, and ready to act on, and you will do it inside a company building something ambitious. This is a rare ground-floor opportunity. You will work across our entire data stack, partner directly with senior engineers and analysts, and get real exposure to the AI and automation work shaping where we are headed. We are starting the role as a part-time contract so we can build it around real work, with a potential path to a full-time role in 2027 as the business grows. What You'll Gain Ground-floor impact at a high-growth company: help stand up our data quality function and shape how it works from the start. Real breadth: hands-on experience across a modern data stack spanning warehousing, pipelines, and BI, and across all digital and traditional data sources, not one narrow platform. A front-row seat to AI and automation: contribute to the emerging initiatives defining Mogl's next chapter. Mentorship and a growth path: learn directly from senior engineers and analysts, expand your scope over time, and grow toward a full-time role. Ownership from day one: this is a function to run and improve, not a task list to work through. What You'll Do Own Data Quality Across Client Dashboards Be the trusted check on our client-facing data, making sure every dashboard is accurate, complete, and ready to act on. Profile and validate data across the stack, and write SQL to catch issues before clients ever see them. Set and uphold the quality standards that keep client reporting reliable as we scale. Keep the Data Flowing Keep our pipelines healthy: diagnose and resolve issues when APIs change or jobs fail, and get data back on track quickly. Clean and reconcile data, including de-duplicating and re-keying, so what reaches clients is accurate. Help shape and maintain the data schemas and documentation that make our stack scalable. Build Better Systems Turn recurring checks into repeatable tests and automations that make the whole team faster. Document data flows, logic, and assumptions so quality is built into how we work, not bolted on. Track quality trends and surface insights that improve how we operate. Contribute to What's Next Get hands-on with the AI and automation initiatives shaping Mogl's roadmap, and help turn experiments into real tools. Take on high-visibility special projects as we grow, the kind that stretch your skills and build your career. What We're Looking For 1-2 years of experience in data, analytics, QA, or a related technical role, or a standout early-career candidate hungry to grow. Solid SQL skills to query, profile, and validate data. This is the core of the role. Sharp attention to detail; you take pride in getting the numbers right and catching what others miss. A builder's mindset: you like improving systems and automating the repetitive, not just checking boxes. Comfortable with ambiguity and energized by a fast-moving, high-growth environment where the role will evolve. Curiosity about AI and automation, and excitement to work on emerging initiatives. Clear communicator who can document findings and flag issues to both technical and non-technical teammates. Nice to Have Exposure to a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or Oracle). Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools (Rivery, Fivetran, dbt, Informatica, or Talend). Python or R for scripting, automation, or analysis. Experience with BI and visualization tools (Sigma, Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or Qlik). Experience with API integrations, data schemas, or version control with Git. Interest in advertising, marketing, or media data. Our Environment Day to day, you would work in a modern data stack: cloud warehousing (Snowflake), ETL/ELT ingestion (Rivery, Fivetran), reporting (Sigma), and API-based pipelines pulling from a wide range of digital and traditional data sources. We do not expect you to know every tool on day one. We expect strong SQL, sharp attention to detail, resourcefulness, and the drive to learn the rest. Engagement & Compensation This is an independent contractor engagement of at least 20 hours per week through December 2026, with a potential path to a full-time role in 2027 as the business grows. The estimated pay range for this contract is $45-$60 per hour, based on skills, experience, and geographic location. The rate reflects current market data for data quality and data analytics contract work (market averages run roughly $40-$55/hour for data quality analysts and about $53/hour median for data analytics contractors). If converted to full-time in 2027, the role would target a base salary of $75,000-$90,000 , with room to grow as the role and the business expand. Contractors are paid on billable hours worked and are responsible for their own equipment, taxes, and benefits during the contract term. If converted to a full-time role, the position would be eligible for Mogl's standard salary, benefits, and perks package. At Mogl, we are committed to diversity and inclusion. As an equal opportunity employer, all qualified candidates will be considered for engagement without regard to race, color, creed, religion, age, sex or gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, marital status, national origin, ancestry, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
