Staff Software Engineer

The Staff Software Engineer reports to the Development Manager within the R&D organization. This role is a key member of a highly collaborative Software Engineering team. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, full-stack software engineer who is capable of independently designing, developing, testing, and deploying high-quality software. As the secondary technical leader of the development team, this individual will serve as the primary backup to the Software Architect, contributing to technical design decisions, maintaining architectural consistency, and ensuring continuity of development efforts. This position requires a strong background in modern software engineering practices, front-end and back-end development, cloud and on-premises deployments, CI/CD automation, and Agile development methodologies. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering, scientific and product management teams are essential.
