SMTS Software Development Job Locations NL-Rotterdam Job ID 2026-23020 Category Engineering Overview Rambus , a premier chip and silicon IP provider making data faster and safer , is seeking to hire an exceptional HW/SW Engineer to jo i n our Design Automation team in Hillsboro, OR . In this role, you will be working with some of the brightest inventors and engineers in the world develop ing products that make data faster and safer. As a HW/SW Engineer , you’ll play a pivotal role in developing front end design automation flows and supporting a global Digital IP development team . In this full-time role, you’ll report directly to our Design Automation Manager . Our Design Automation group is dedicated to building and supporting world class tools and automation , and your contributions will be instrumental in supporting ongoing automation work and support . Rambus offers a flexible work environment , embracing a hybrid approach for most office-based roles . E mployees are encouraged to spend an average of at least three days per week onsite , allowing for two days of remote work . Responsibilities Develop tools and automation to support front end verification, lint, synthesis and package generation Work closely with members of the Design Automation , Verification and Development team s to collaboratively solve problems and build solutions Provide support to our global engineering organization Qualifications BS or MS degree in electrical or computer engineering or closely related degree strongly preferred; but substantial, relevant, outstanding work experience may substitute in some cases 5 - 10 years of experience working as a HW/SW engineer or related field Proficiency with object-oriented programming methodologies Proficiency with SystemVerilog, Verilog Proficiency with Python, Tcl, Perl, and Bash Understanding of CDC and RDC concepts Experience creating automation for front end design EDA tools Strong written and verbal communication skills About Rambus Rambus is a global company that makes industry-leading memory interface chips and Silicon IP to advance data center connectivity and solve the bottleneck between memory and processing.
