Zaden Technologies is hiring Data Engineers to support a defense logistics analytics program. This is an on-site role — you'd work in person with the mission team, designing the data backbone that feeds real operational decisions: streaming and batch pipelines that pull sprawling logistics data into one governed platform that leaders actually use.Role Responsibilities:Design and run high-throughput pipelines integrating structured and unstructured data from enterprise defense logistics systems into a centralized data lakeBuild streaming ingestion with Kafka and batch orchestration with tools like NiFi or AirflowStand up cloud storage and compute with encryption at rest and in transitOwn data quality: lineage tracking, audit trails, and monitoring that keeps the platform at mission-grade availabilityWork shoulder to shoulder with data scientists and the mission team, on-siteWrite clear technical documentation to support the broader teamRequired Qualifications:An active TOP SECRET clearance with SCI eligibility (TS/SCI) at time of application (firm requirement, U.S. citizenship required)A Bachelor's degree in an applicable field and 4+ years of data engineering experienceHands-on depth in AWS and/or Azure, Python, SQL and NoSQL, Spark, and KafkaAvailability to work on-site in the greater Tampa areaStart date in early OctoberPreferred Qualifications:NiFi or Airflow experience in productionDatabricks experienceExperience integrating enterprise DoD logistics and data systemsIL4/IL5 cloud environment experienceStrong documentation habits and clear technical writingWhat we offer:Robust startup environment with a variety of projects to work onGrowth paths and endless opportunities to learn and developPaid holidays and flexible paid time offEmployer contributions toward 401k50% coverage of health insurance for employees and their dependents
