IT Software Support Technician Job Locations US-IN-Fort Wayne ID 2026-7825 Pos. Category Information Technology Subsidiary Steel Dynamics Overview This position is responsible for providing software support for SDI & OmniSource end users. Duties include answering help desk calls, troubleshooting issues, entering, and monitoring workorders/resolutions. Responsibilities Answer service desk phone calls. Log calls requesting technical assistance into the service desk software. Troubleshoot software issues and document resolutions. Assign work orders, follow up on status, and communicate status to users. Handle requests & verify requested information with managers, and track progress. Support Retail equipment- ATM, printers, cameras, scale interface. Periodically travel to remote locations and assist other IT technicians. All other duties as required. Represent the company in a professional manner and provide excellent Customer Service. Qualifications Required Excellent problem-solving skills and work well in a team environment Understanding of business processes, transaction flows, and compliance requirements Positive attitude and highly motivated A team player with excellent communication skills Timely communication and compliance with policies and procedures. Customer service oriented. Preferred Associate degree or equivalent technical work experience (3 years). Knowledge of various versions of Microsoft Windows and Office. The ideal candidate would be energetic, detail oriented, and organized. Experience with querying data from various systems and databases.
