Position
Overview:<br>As a Test
Engineer at MACOM, you will partner with New Product Development and Product
Engineering to develop and support advanced test solutions for RF over fiber
products. You will be challenged by a diverse mix of new products,
applications, and high-performance technologies, serving primarily Aerospace
and Defense markets.<br>Core
Responsibilities:<br>Test
Development: Develop
automated test systems and write code to collect, analyze, and present
characterization and performance data.<br>Production
Support: Facilitate
new product transitions from engineering to manufacturing and create test
plans to verify product performance.<br>Data
Analysis: Analyze
test data against specifications and process parameters. Identify data
trends and study performance against environmental stresses.<br>Troubleshooting
& Yield: Assist Quality
with root-cause analysis for test failures, investigate yield issues, and help
with corrective actions.<br>Lab
Operations: Utilize
test lab equipment (e.g., power supplies, oscilloscopes, signal
generators, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers) and create drivers
as necessary for test equipment automation.<br><br>Job
Requirements & Qualifications:<br>Education: B.S. or M.S. degree in Electrical
Engineering, Physics, or a directly related technical field.<br>Experience: Minimum of 4+ years of relevant
experience in RF and/or optical test engineering and test solution development
and writing software for automated testing.<br>Technical
Skills: Experience
creating test documentation and writing test procedures. Familiarity with Optical,
RF, Microwave, and general lab equipment, and automation and communication
protocols like GPIB SCPI, RS232, I2C, SPI, Ethernet is
preferred. Understanding optical and RF measurements such as gain and
noise figure is desired. <br>Software/Tools: Proficiency with Python used to
develop automation and GUIs, as well as proficiency using
Git/GitHub/GitLab is preferred. Familiarity with National Instruments
hardware, PYVISA and related libraries is desired. Experience with
embedded firmware, C++, Linux, Verilog is a plus.<br>ITAR/Compliance: Due to ITAR regulations, only candidates who are U.S.
Persons (U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, lawful permanent residents, or
individuals granted asylum or refugee status) will be considered for this
position. <br>
