Job Summary
We're looking for a
Quality Engineer
to ensure aerospace products, manufacturing processes, and suppliers consistently meet customer requirements, engineering specifications, and regulatory standards. In this role, you'll partner across quality, engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to drive continuous improvement, investigate quality issues, and support the delivery of safe, reliable, and compliant aerospace components.

What You’ll Be Doing
Ensure compliance with AS9100, customer requirements, regulatory requirements, and internal quality procedures.
Lead investigations of nonconforming material, customer escapes, and quality system issues using structured problem-solving methods such as 8D, Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA), and Five Why analysis.
Develop, maintain, and improve inspection plans, control plans, quality procedures, and work instructions.
Perform First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance with AS9102 requirements.
Analyze quality performance data and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve product quality and process capability.
Support internal, customer, and third-party audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
Monitor key quality metrics including scrap, rework, yield, customer complaints, and process performance.
Partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to resolve quality issues and improve manufacturing processes.
Participate in process validation activities, production readiness reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements to establish and verify quality standards.
Develop inspection methods, testing approaches, and quality controls to ensure product conformity.
Prepare reports and present findings related to quality performance, investigations, and improvement opportunities.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
Experience working in a manufacturing, aerospace, aviation, or highly regulated environment.
Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS), quality tools, and root cause analysis methodologies.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple functions.
Nice to Have
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE).
ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA).
Experience working within an AS9100-certified environment.
Experience performing First Article Inspections (AS9102).
Knowledge of statistical analysis, process capability studies, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, moving equipment, noise, fumes, and varying temperatures.
Frequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching throughout the workday.
Regular lifting and movement of materials up to 30 pounds.
Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to all safety requirements.
